WHY ARE PTA MEETINGS IMPORTANT?
The number one reason to get involved in PTA is to benefit your child, but there are so many other compelling benefits. Joining a PTA Meeting is an easy way to get info on how to get involved, you can turn your mic and video off and listen or speak up as much as you want—we are always open to new ideas!! Here are some of the ways that attending PTA Meetings can make a difference at Tam Valley School:
Get Connected: There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
Tap into a Network: PTA meetings are opportunities to meet other parents, teachers, principal, and community organization representatives, build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns and experiences.
Raise school standards: PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at school and advocate for results.
Witness Improvement: By getting involved with PTA at your school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. PTA plays an important role by supporting improvements through advocacy and fundraising for student and staff experience enrichment and community building social events.
Be a Role Model: By attending PTA meetings and getting involved, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
Attending monthly Tam Valley PTA Meetings is a great way to get to know our school and learn about the work being done to improve your child's educational experience at Tam Valley.
