Tam Valley School PTA understands that finances should never stand in the way of building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community at Tam Valley School. Financial assistance is readily available because we truly value the participation of every parent/guardian at our PTA community events.

Let’s kick-off the school year by coming together for a Tam Valley School community picnic! PTA is starting a new tradition, all are invited and welcome to share in some picnic fun and build community connections to last the whole school year. Back to School Night

This is a parent only weekday evening event at the beginning of the year. This is a chance to hear from our Principal Lisa Lamar in the MPR as well as PTA and Kiddo! representatives to learn more about programming and events for the school year. You will also have the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and check out their classrooms!
Halloween Costume Swap

Join us for a fun and eco-friendly Halloween Costume Swap! Bring gently used costumes and find a new one—free of charge—while helping our community reduce waste and save money.
PTA-Sponsored Movie Night
Saturday, October 18th, 2025 // Tam Valley School
Join other Tam Valley families under the fall skies with blankets, sleeping bags, popcorn, hot chocolate, and a family friendly movie. Movie Night is the weekend before Walk-a-thon and is the kick-off to a week of Tam Spirit Days leading up to Walk-a-thon. (This is a free community event sponsored by your Tam Valley PTA). PTA-Sponsored Walk-a-thon
Sunday, October 26th, 2025 // Tam Valley School
Tam Valley School’s major PTA fundraiser has been a tradition at our school for many years. This event is a tremendous community building event where students have fun walking laps around the school while parents cheer them on, eat great food, shop at the Online Auction and more. (This is a free community event sponsored by your Tam Valley PTA).
Walk-a-thon fundraising supports our students, teachers and community by backing: Requested grade-level curriculum; science/naturalist and garden education; assemblies; field trips; school-wide community-building and educational events; school ground and playground improvements; and many more programs identified by the administration. Buck-a-Book (Formerly Book Fair)
Monday to Thursday, November 17th to 20th, 2025 // Tam Valley School MPR
This is a long-held tradition where Tam Valley parents donate gently used books and the PTA coordinates to bring those books for purchase to our MPR - every book for just $1! This is an eco-friendly way to support our school and to help reduce waste in our community! Many children and parents enjoy taking this opportunity to check off holiday gift wish lists!
STEM Week
Monday to Friday, February 9th to 13th, 2026 // Tam Valley School MPR
Introducing STEM week! Students will enjoy all that science and math has to offer, including projects, interactive demonstrations and games! Daily science, engineering and math activities will be offered during school. STEM week will continue two evenings of non-competitive science presentations, where students can display their love of science, math, and/or engineering. More info here.
Tam Valley Cabaret Variety Show
Friday + Saturday, March 27th + 28th, 2026 // Tam Valley School MPR
Every year Tam Tigers look forward to sharing their unique talents with our school community! The show is an inclusive and collaborative variety show featuring kids of all grades with acts ranging from skits, instruments, poetry, dance, comedy, singing, break dancing, rap, band performances, gymnastics, storytelling, and much more! Tam Valley School Open House

Time to celebrate all of the amazing work your child has accomplished this school year! This child-led event is one of the highlights of the school year where your student will have the opportunity to share projects, art and more. This is sure to be a fun and memorable night for the whole family!
5th Grade Promotion + Last Day of School (MINIMUM DAY)

Goodbye school year and hello summer for the last day of school! AND join us for a promotion celebration for our 5th grade students. Let's celebrate their accomplishments, reflect and say farewell as they make their way to middle school!
